The hand-held
965DSP test set is housed in a lightweight,
ergonomically designed case for portability and
ease of handling. The unit is weather-resistant
and weighs only 3.3 pounds (1.5 kg).
What Is A TDR ?
A Time Domain
Reflectometer is a test set that
uses RADAR (RAdio
Detecting And Ranging) technology to locate
telephone cable faults.
A T1)R is sensitive to “changes” in the
“characteristic impedance” of a telephone line.
Cable faults affect and cause the characteristic
impedance of a telephone line to “change”. The
following are standard characteristic impedances
used in telephone circuits:
600 ohms

services like ISDN, Ti, El, etc., and most xDSLs.

SLiC closures and terminals offer easier
installation, floating bond, rigid bond and spiral
end seals. Reenterable for straight, butt and
branch splices of non-pressurized communication
cables.
